After this election, the future of Obamacare will be put to the Congress once more with an opportunity to give control over health care decisions back to all Americans. As your Congressman, I will vote to replace Obamacare with a market-based health care system that offers Americans choice and savings in health care. We can accomplish this by making health care insurance portable and available across state lines, so that we have a real marketplace that offers Americans health insurance choices at low costs. We should promote health savings accounts and pursue the idea of offering Americans a refundable tax credit to purchase the insurance of their choice. I support preserving the ability of youths to remain on family insurance and the ability of those with pre-existing conditions to access affordable health insurance. We must do whatever is necessary to protect our medical doctors who are being driven out of the profession. This includes real tort reform that protects against frivolous lawsuits. We need to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board that gets in the way of doctors’ medical decisions.
